Divergent is a book written by Veronica Roth and published on April 25, 2011. In my opinion when I read this book I thought it was magnificent and I was on the edge of my seat. It was perfectly written. If you haven't read this book yet I suggest you should. It is about a girl name Beatrice Prior who lives in a dystopian Chicago world, where society is divided into five factions. Candor(the honest), Abnegation (the selfless), Dauntless (the brave), Amity (the peaceful), and Erudite (the intelligent). On one day each year, all sixteen year olds must choose what faction they will devote the rest of their lives to. And this is the year Beatrice, who at the moment is Abnegation, has to choose if she will stay in her faction or leave to another and leave her family.
